There is so much to love about today’s elopement inspiration. Photographed by Chettera T Photography at Studio Studio A2, a modern industrial space in Detroit, the team cleverly mixed beautiful dried flower arrangements, disco balls, neon light signage, heart balloons, and epic sequin bridalwear… seriously, that dress is all kinds of goals 😍

The Lost Forty…

Where did you get your inspiration from?
I’d say the inspiration was drawn from a photo Chettara sent me mixed with the feel of the venue. Chettara sent me some rad photos of a metallic balloon wall and said we need to do a Valentine’s Pop Up. I loved it and was immediately game! For some reason I had just been craving a neon disco vibe, so we blended it into what you see now. We knew we needed a clean white backdrop and had looked at some more industrial spaces with concrete floors. When we found Studio Studio, we knew it was perfect. I only use dried and preserved florals, which lends itself to a more bohemian style sometimes, but we definitely made it our own with all of the details.
How did you find the suppliers who made this concept come to life?
We’d either worked together before or followed each other on Instagram. That’s how we found Studio Studio. Chettara followed them first and shared their page with me.
What details are your favourite, and why?
I’m a little bias, personally, because I design florals, so I love them! But I think that the dress that we ultimately chose and the neon sign were the most special features in this project, and made for some really amazing photos. (And Chettara’s light bar that gave some red moody glows for some of the photos!)

Do you have any styling tips for readers looking to emulate this shoot?
Don’t ever use confetti. It’s impossible to clean up. If you have a neon light that isn’t battery operated, extension cords will be your best friend, but make sure you have a way to hide it’s ugliness or invest in a neutral colored cord.
What’s the most important tip you have for couples planning their wedding?
Remember who and what your day is about and try to tune out intrusive opinions given by others. Ultimately, if you want to have an intimate day, just the two of you, it shouldn’t matter what anyone else thinks about that. Your wedding day is about YOUR love, nothing else.
