Hello! I’m Paul the beard behind Ginger Beard Weddings! That’s right, I can never shave it off and I’m very okay with that (so’s my chin). Film Geek, Carhartt/SneakerHead and Glasses aficionado. If my life had a theme tune, it would be performed by Dallas Green (City & Colour). Music is my life and one of the first two questions I will ask you when we meet.

I’m an Alternative & Creative Wedding photographer based in Manchester. I capture your day with a cinematic edge, delivering moments that makes you think “HOLY CRAP IS THAT US!!!“.

I’m not your out of the box wedding photographer, I’m at the bar making you do shots, helping you climb over a fence for an epic photo and on the dance floor with my camera. It’s about those real moments, laughing until it hurts and RAD AF couples who do things differently for their wedding days. I’m there for all of that.

My kind of couple are the last ones standing eating pizza on the dance floor. You bring the party, better YOU ARE THE PARTY. Your wedding day represents who you both are and nothing is for show. You’re lacing up your gazelle’s for all the dancing you will be doing and you’re encouraging me to do shots of cafe patrón with you at the bar.

You want THE party and you want all your loved ones there to enjoy it with you. It’s as simple as that.

What makes us unique

I’m an alternative cinematic wedding photographer based in sunny Manchester capturing RAD AF couples weddings from behind my camera!

I’m originally from New Zealand so I caught the travel bug early. I shoot all over the UK + the world for weddings! I absolutely adore my career and all the couples I get to work with along the way.

Just like the City I live in… I do things differently here. I’m all in when it comes to your wedding day including all the real moments, down to shots at the bar! I’m here for all of it.

I am UN-traditional, creative and a massive film nerd, together will get photos that will represent you as a couple.

My couples usually don’t like their photos being taken and this is music to my ears. I don’t want posey folk, I want all the emotion, the laughter, the fun stuff that goes with a REAL wedding day. Sure we will get kick ass portraits of the two of you and you will shriek with excitement with how god damn awesome you both look. Trust me you will.
