Multi-Cultural Celebration…
Now that the darker, autumn mornings are drawing in, we wanted to brighten up your day by sharing Maybo & Himeshs’ dynamic and colourful London wedding…
With Indian, Chinese and British heritages all brought into the mix (including 3 outfit changes!), this wedding is bursting with fun, colour and creativity that just can’t help but make you smile!
Over to some of the suppliers involved to tell us more…
Matthew Oliver Wedding Planner…
I really enjoyed working with Maybo and Himesh throughout their planning process, as I got to know them and understand what they were after and create something that didn’t only reflect the style of the Chainstore, but also represented both Maybo and Himesh and their style. We wanted to work with both cultures and create something colourful and unique, but also be able to work together so it didn’t clash or disrupt the main feel of the day.
To us the main part of a wedding is the atmosphere and creating something that invites guests to enjoy themselves and relax is very important. For this we used great mood lighting, music and a design that created a beautiful atmosphere, which all gelled together!
Virginias Vintage Hire…
We just love the vibrancy of this wedding. Working with Matthew Oliver is always a huge pleasure, his creative passion and joie de vivre is demonstrated beautifully here with Himesh & Maybo’s wedding. Trinity Buoy Wharf is the perfect complement and setting for our vintage furniture and Himesh & Maybo’s day is so full of colour, bursting with life and a true sense of fun. We are always so incredibly grateful to be part of such a special day and are thrilled when we see the results of what working with such incredible industry talent can achieve.
Maybo & Himesh…
Tell us how you met…
Stepping on each others toes at swing dance lessons!
How was your day unique?
We wanted our family and friends to experience something special from our Indian, Chinese and British heritages – Indian street food and Chinese dim sum at lunch, Hindu and Chinese wedding ceremonies, and dancing until the early hours to Calvin Harris!
Tell us about your wedding outfits…
We each had three outfits on the day – Indian, Chinese and British. It just had to be done!
What was it like working with your photographer?
Bhavna and Beth were great to work with they really put us at ease and captured the day beautifully.
What advice would you give a couple about to get married?
Get a wedding planner! Matthew and his team were fantastic throughout all of the planning and incredible on the day.
