Hey! I’m Meg from Wild Fern Wedding Photography. I’m a creative wedding photographer who captures modern and relaxed photographs of couples deeply in love.

I’m all about recording those raw, sparkling moments that capture the unique kind of love you share. I absolutely ADORE my job and I feel so grateful that I get to meet so many amazing couples and create beautiful memories for them to cherish forever.

What are a few of your favourite things?

Brunch, travelling, photography, lazy morning coffee, interior design and skiing!

Tell us about where the magic happens – where’s your HQ?

Bristol, which I think is one of the best places ever but I travel all over!

How and why did you start up your business?

I was given my first camera for my 14th birthday and taken photos ever since. As a teenager, I was adamant that I would follow my Dad’s footsteps and set up my own business. I guess that came true?

Loving fashion and shooting fashion, I decided to study at Brighton University. I wasn’t a fan of University so I left, to get real experience in London before deciding to take the plunge and set up my own fashion photography business.

A couple of years later, my friend asked me to shoot her wedding. Since then, I’ve never looked back.

What do you love most about your job?

Meeting so many amazing individuals and photographing people madly in love!

What makes your work unique?

My background in fashion photography brings a creative approach to my wedding photography. I’m not afraid to push the boat out in order to capture unique and beautiful shots!

What kind of couples are ‘your couples’?

I love meeting and working with all kinds of couples. Most of all, I enjoy working with creative couples who have vision and do things in their own way.

You’re after candid, emotion filled shots .You don’t want your day to feel manufactured or artificial – you’d rather trade in group photos of everyone standing in a line for some creative, intimate shots.

What would be your advice for couples looking to plan a wedding totally unique to them?

Be true to yourselves.

Invite who you want, get married where you want and don’t try and please everyone around you! This day is ultimately about you guys, so make sure it’s a combination of all the things that you LOVE!

What inspires you?

Fashion editorials, loved ones, films, blogs, instagram and other photographers!

What’s been your proudest moment so far?

It’s hard to pick one moment! I’m just proud of backing myself and working towards achieving my dreams. There is still nothing better than sending off a wedding gallery and getting incredible feedback from my couples and their close ones. It makes me so happy!
