The Highlights

We are professional yurt makers and are proud to say we design and make all our yurts by hand ourselves using traditional methods and techniques.
All our other alternative wedding tents are either made by ourselves or by other talented tent makers here in the UK using timber from sustainably managed woodland and fabric sourced from UK companies.
We've been in the festival industry for over 14 years and provided yurts for our first wedding back in 2006. We have gained much knowledge and inspiration that we pour into each wedding we are part of to ensure we create unique and vibrant events.
Our tents stand out from the rest and all have unique design and colour that can't be mistaken for any other company.
We are willing to travel all over the UK and always pour 100% of our love and energy into what we do.

Hey there!

Hi my name is Lizzie and I work closely with Ben at WoodSmoke Yurts. We met over 14 years ago and with our work experience gained through music and arts, festivals and corporate events, private parties and tent making we've collaborated our businesses and combined our skills to create fantastic venues for special occasions.

We are based in Somerset and offer yurt hire, including other wedding yurt hire services such as dance floor and bars to weddings and events throughout the U.K.

You can Build Your Own package or opt for our amazing package deals where you can make considerable savings if it’s the whole shebang that you have your hearts set on!

We specialise in yurts and tipi’s and have quite an extensive inventory, ranging from lights to hand-crafted tables and benches, dance floor, PA system and bar. Let us bring our smaller add-on yurts to create snug areas such as a bar. a lounge, chill out space or kids zone.

What makes us unique

We can tailor wedding packages to suit your individual taste and style. Over the years we’ve met some wonderful suppliers of the wild and beautiful, so if we haven’t got what you want to add to your tent hire ourselves, then we’re pretty sure we can recommend someone who has.

Our yurts all have beautiful timber frame, all golden in their natural colour. Our covers have a unique colour that no other company we have seen use, so we stand out from the crowd.
Our tipi’s are traditional Sioux tipi’s and our yurts are all based on the traditional Kyrgyz style design, so when you hire a tent from us, you know you are getting authenticity in quality and design. And because we hand-craft our yurts ourselves you know you are getting the most professional team come and build them for your big day.

Upcoming Events

See our stretched yurt AKA The SkyBarn at Big Love Festival and our smaller yurts will be at Glastonbury Festival as well as Shambala.

Apart from festivals we are pretty busy with creating many big days for happy couples throughout the summer.

Look out for our open day that we hope to launch in Somerset with our new tents for 2023 in June next year.
