Based in London, ARD Bakery is the creation of designer Alison Dunlop. I originally trained in Sculpture before moving into fashion, designing bags, shoes and jewellery for various high end fashion labels. Baking has always played an important part in my life, and ARD Bakery is the fusion of these 2 passions. It is a combination of classic baking with a high end fashion led aesthetic, and my approach to designing cakes is very much the same as that of fashion.
Drawing on the playfulness of the memphis group and retro graphics, I combine bold graphic prints with hand painted chocolate work to create a unique style.
These cakes are designed to be fun, graphic led sculptural pieces that are also delicious to eat.
I also make small boxes with 2 hand painted chocolate bonbons, in bold colours and styles. Wrapped in our signature graphic print, which can be tailored to suit your style, they make the perfect wedding favour.
