Hey! I’m Lucy of Clara Cooper Photography, and I’m so happy you’ve stumbled upon my page to find out more about me and my work.

I am a UK and destination wedding photographer based in Manchester who specialises in crazy, untraditional, joyful weddings. I love colour, alternative style, wild moments, laughter, love and authentic storytelling. I am untraditional, so I love to find couples who are on my wavelength and share my passion for creating unique, one of a kind weddings. Whether it be a stylish city wedding with a wild party to follow, or an intimate forest wedding or a clifftop elopement on a mountaintop. No adventure is too small.

You should expect so much more than just a wedding photographer. I will be the person holding your dress while you scale a fence, I’ll bring you champagne, and button up your dress.

If you are looking for a photographer, who feels more like a friend than a stranger, or create a wedding which is entirely you, if you want to ditch the tradition, then I am definitely your girl!

Ideal for...

My love for photography lies in the untraditional, in the real, raw, epic moments. I am first and foremost an alternative wedding photographer whose passion comes from capturing weird and damn right unique love stories for all my incredible couples in the most natural way possible. For couples who like me, have a bit of weird side, who want to create the most individual day they can – I gravitate towards couples who LOVE, alternative venues, confetti canons, walking barefoot through fields, pulling silly faces, swearing, drunk dancing, dirty dresses, laughing ‘til their bellies hurt, breaking all the wedding rules and having a bloody good time doing so. And couples who say F*CK NO to tails, chair covers, old fashioned wedding cars, hundreds upon hundreds of group shots, old school formalities, staged posed moments and especially top hats.

What makes us unique

I have a relaxed approach to every wedding; I want every couple to have as much fun as possible. I don’t spend hours taking family formals and no disappearing for hours on end for couple portraits. This day is all about celebrating your commitment to one another, and I want to make sure you lap up every second of it.

Nothing is staged or posed just pure, real moments. With a few epic portraits thrown in for good measure!

We're absolutely delighted with the final photographs and slide show, soooo beautiful, bloody gorgeous; they captured the day so well! We cannot recommend Lucy enough :)"
