Inner City is owned and operated by Elinor Softley, alongside an incredible freelance team of creative event professionals. We only work with independently owned multi-use venues that are not primarily used for weddings i.e art spaces, music venues, listed buildings and warehouses. We utilise local suppliers, artists, makers and musicians, wherever possible, and relish the design and production element of turning concepts into real-life, brilliant events.
Inner City is a socially conscious Weddings and Events company based in Sheffield, working in interesting spaces across the North of England. We promote independent culture and non-traditional spaces; the arts, the creative community, and deliver unique weddings and events for awesome couples.
We celebrate love in all forms, often in unlikely and ‘non-traditional’ spaces.
Creative, imaginative couples who want a wedding in an interesting space, with interesting people. People who value music, art, culture, spaces that are of local and national cultural importance. Couples who do not like chair covers and aren’t afraid to admit it.
People who recognise excellent photography as an art form, and who enlist the help of someone with mad skills to capture this pivotal day in their lives!
People who are willing to throw tradition out of the window and embrace a wedding that is truly who they are and what they want!
We have been involved in over 120 weddings since we began in 2015, as well as charity and corporate events, and we are always keen to collaborate with new spaces, couples and clients seeking something a little different from the norm.
We love authentic, relaxed weddings in interesting spaces that focus on family and friends, great music, amazing food and dancing. Art and design, great photography, and styling our events to complement the building we’re in, is also an important part of what we do.
We can offer furniture and prop hire, styling, on the day coordination, venue and supplier recommendation, and full event planning and production.
Inner City also runs the Indie Wedding Fair, an alternative, modern wedding event that supports creative small businesses, freelancers and the independent wedding community.

Inner City Weddings were amazing in helping our wedding day at Abbeydale Picture House run so smoothly. The whole team, especially Ruth just made the whole process as easy as possible.
