A relaxed, family run Manor house nestled in the rolling hills of Somerset, just a stone’s throw from the Glastonbury festival site. Enjoy exclusive use of the whole of Pennard House, with 10 comfy bedrooms and two 16-ft tipis in the garden.

This is very much a place to make yourself at home and stay more than one day – come the night before and enjoy a pre-wedding dinner in the dining room with close friends and family. Then say your vows in the indoor ceremony room or outdoor licensed pavilion, in the village church at the bottom of the garden, or among the roses, before moving to the beautiful converted Coach House for dinner and dancing. Pennard offers a variety of unique indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy.

What makes us unique

There are very few places that make you feel quite so welcome as Pennard House. From the moment you and your guests arrive you will feel at home, settling in to the comfortable bedrooms and relaxing in the library or drawing rooms. We don’t do back to back weddings, so you are able to stay one, two or three nights and enjoy a whole weekend of wedding celebration. Come the night before and enjoy dinner for 24 in the dining room, then wake up on your wedding day and have a dip in the freshwater lake or a walk among the apple orchards. The 16ft tipis in the gardens add a quirky festival-feel.

The combination of the traditional English Country Manor house with the unique Coach House party space, tipis and magical gardens offer a truly unique space. We host a variety of events from yoga and wellbeing retreats through to booking writing and songwriting retreats – we don’t have a set procedures – all our couples are encouraged to design and create the day they wish for so whether that be formal, festival, large or small.

On your wedding day itself, each part of the day takes place in a different location, ensuring you and you guests continuously see new places. Whether you start at the outdoor ceremony space, among the rose gardens or in the village church at the bottom of the lawn, you enjoy exclusive use of the extensive gardens for drinks receptions, before moving to the beautiful Coach House with intimate dining room, purpose built dance floor and bar, atmospheric lighting and a firepit.

You will feel like Pennard House is your home for the day, but behind the scenes you will have a dedicated wedding director throughout the whole planning process, who will be there for your whole stay to make sure everything works out exactly as you want it to.
