Elopement to England…
You may recognise this beauty… the gorgeous Esther!
Esther & Carlos’ wedding appeared in our new Autumn/Winter Magazine (if you haven’t seen it yet you can see it here,) and I wanted to share it on the blog too because I love it so much!
It’s one of my favourites… I don’t know whether its because of the gorgeous pink 50’s dress, the chic styling details or simply they fact they wanted an intimate wedding so they decided to eloped from LA over to England and got married in a castle!

Why you love this wedding…
I adored that Esther and Carlos focused on what was important to them and followed their dreams of travelling from LA to marry in a castle in the UK with their closest friends.
What were the couple’s requirements…
Esther and Carlos were eloping and they wanted me to capture a little bit of their getting ready, their ceremony and the drinks reception they shared with their friends in the beautiful castle grounds.
Favourite details of the day…
Esther’s bespoke pink 50s dress was just the dream and it was so perfect for her.
Favourite moment of the day…
Being part of such an intimate celebration and getting to laugh and share in their joy to create some images that really reflect this relaxed celebration.

Tell us how you met and got engaged…
We met at 19 and 20 and have been together since. 11 years later we thought it was time to make the next step and continue building our lives together.
What were your main hopes for the day…
Not be stressed out and just have fun.
Was your favourite part of the day…
It rained everyday we were in London and that was the only day the skies were absolutely clear with the most beautiful clouds.
How was your day unique…
Neither of us is British. We are both from Mexican decent – Carlos was born in Mexico, I, in Los Angeles but knew the only way to do our wedding was while traveling with friends and staying 100% true to ourselves. So we chose a Castle in the English countryside – nothing more beautiful then that.
What was your budget…
We didn’t really have a budget. We just wanted to spend our money wisely and for it be memorable.
What was your biggest expense…
Probably our flights over there ;)
How did you save money…
By keeping it short and sweet. We booked the castle for two hours and really had more then enough time to have the ceremony and champagne and a walk through the gardens for the fab photos.
What was it like working with your photographer…
Fabulous. She was one of the most expensive on the list of photographers that we were given, but well worth it and truly made us feel special even before meeting us. Rebecca actually continues to make us feel special even after the wedding!
Advice to any couples about to get married…
Do a planned elopement like we did. Travel and spend the money on adventure rather then trying to please your 2nd cousin you don’t even care about.
