Ok, so it’s lovely and sunny this week, but that won’t stop me from sharing some some gorgeous Winter inspiration with you. Think Sequin dresses, tattoo King & Queen inspired altar backdrop, lush emerald green florals and stationery, and a stunning black wedding cake with gold detailing. Over to Amelia from AMW Events to tell us more…
Where did you get your inspiration from?
The inspiration for the shoot came from King & Queen tattoos, but I also wanted to create some winter wedding inspiration, which was different to the traditional reds and purple colour combos. I wanted to create something luxurious with lots of details and textures and yet still make it feel cosy.
How did you find the suppliers who made this concept come to life?
A few I have worked with previously, and knew they would get the concept and put their creative spin on it. Others I had researched and reached out to.
What details/look are your favourite, and why?
The dessert table was stunning by Vanilla Pod, I gave them a few ideas and they created an incredible display. I also loved how the King and Queen backdrop turned out, it’s something so unique and adds to the whole vibe.
Do you have any styling tips for readers looking to emulate this shoot?
My tip would be to find creative suppliers and trust them. Give them an idea of the vibe you want and just let them add their own creative spin to it.
What is it that makes your inspiration unique?
It’s not your typical styled shoot, in terms of the concept. There are so many beautiful details from the agate slices, to the stunning florals. The venue Rhyse Farm was an incredible setting, Candice has some many cool and unique spaces to use. So we could really be creative with the shots. And the way Mark captured the vibe of the shoot in his creative style just works so well together.
What’s the most important tip you have for couples planning their wedding?
To make their wedding day personalise to them, and not to have things on their wedding day because they’re supposed to. Some couples can feel the pressure to have certain elements on their day but I think it’s so important for your wedding day to feel like you. And to also get creative with their wedding style, just because you’ve not seen it before, doesn’t mean you can’t create your own style and vibe. That’s why I love creating shoots that are so different, as I hope it gives couples inspiration and confidence to do the same.
