Over to PapaKåta to tell us a little bit more about what we can expect from their 2020 Spring Open Weekend which is being held at the gorgeous Escrick Park, 5 minutes from York…

For our Spring Open Weekend on the on the 28th & 29th March, we will be showcasing our beautiful Tipis and Sperry Tents in the stunning setting of Escrick Park. Alongside our striking tents and luxurious finishing touches, there’ll be a fabulous supplier line-up and an event that’s jam-packed with style details and inspiration.

You can expect light and airy styling, the perfect antidote to recent winter months. The fabulous Victoria Ivy Floral Design will ensure the scheme is soft, modern, and reminiscent of an English Country Garden. With installations of beautiful seasonal blooms in a palette of dusky pink, smokey mauves and the occasional pop of blue.

There’ll be the full edit of PapaKåta’s bespoke event furnishings there for you to try and test. Take a seat, prop up a bar and be awe-inspired by the array of hanging installations on offer.

Textured linens by Just 4 Linen and intricately detailed tableware by Whitehouse Event Crockery will bring a beguiling luxury to the feel of the Sperry Tent and Tipis. Elegant glassware will be complemented by decadent crockery, and gold accents will give the overall look warmth and depth.

Luxurious event stationery by Wonderland Invites will add the finishing touches to the exquisitely collated tablescapes. Whilst stunning wedding and event cake inspiration and sweet treats by Cherry Blossom cakes will be, well, the icing on the cake!

To quote GQ Magazine, Shambles Kitchen are ‘re-inventing York’s culinary flair’ and now we’re delighted to announce that they’re adding Wedding and Event dining to their expanding repertoire. Guests are welcomed to feast on a delightful array of gastronomic delights, inspired by far flung locations all lovingly created in York.

In contrast to its rural heritage, The Work Horse Bar will be bringing the glitz and glamour with tantalising tipples to tickle your taste buds! Who doesn’t want to spend their Saturday and Sunday quaffing raspberry and glitter embellished Prosecco and Pink Ginberry Cocktails whilst enjoying chillout tunes by the fabulous Club Class DJ’s?!

Meanwhile, Booth Revolution, the UK’s leading photo booth company, will bring their stylish state of the art photo booth to capture guests reactions on the day.

From the Sperry Tent’s hand-crafted canvas with its geometric design details, to the Tipi’s hand- milled poles; it’s the quality and heritage of the products and the dependability of the service that gives PapaKåta their reliable reputation.
