Vibrant, Cuban Weddings…

Today we get to share with you a vibrant Cuban inspired styled bridal shoot put together by the awesome winners of 2016 Four Counties Wedding Awards, organised by founder Tracy Butterfield. Over to Tracey to tell us more…

Tracy…

After being frozen in time for five decades, Cuba is opening its exotic door to the world. As one of the biggest new trends; the countries bold colours and bohemian vibe will filter across wedding themes; perfect for couples looking for something unique. Paired with Pantone Colour of the Year Greenery and the influx of ferns, it was a no-brainer!

Only meeting briefly at the Wedding Awards Gala in November all suppliers embraced the concept and major effort was made. The sun shone and salsa music played. With the backdrop of the rustic barn and the river, a fun, colourful look was created that shows the unity of different cultures and traditions including the money dance, needed more so now than ever. Vive le diferencia!”

Lina from Lina & Tom Photography adds “It was important to us to work on a shoot which felt different to many other styled shoots around, and after Tracy gave us her Cuba idea we wanted to embrace the bohemian spirit of Cuba and still create the sense of a destination – even in Bedford!

We particularly loved all the festoon lights and candles, as well as all the bright jewel tones in the flowers and ferns. Our models were chosen for their fantastic range of tattoos too, again giving a rock ‘n’ roll / bohemian edge to the shoot. Tom and I believe couples should be themselves on their wedding day, and hope this shoot inspires couples to step aside from what a wedding ‘norm’ might be and express themselves in their wedding planning – much like this blog!’
