Hey, I’m back today to share with you some colourful wedding inspiration! For those who have been following Unique Rebels Union for a while, you may remember that I like to get together with some like-minded suppliers to get creative once in a while. This time we are looking at wedding tablescape ideas as I love how flowers, tableware and decor can dramatically change the atmosphere of a room. With a small, amazing team we created three looks and today I want to share with you the first… MEADOW.
All of my other tablescape photoshoots have taken place at my home; but this time round we had the opportunity to use The Barns at Redcoats. This gorgeous wedding venue set in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside offers historic beams, quirky features and lip-smacking farm-to-fork dining.
My lovely friend and ace photographer Binky Nixon Photography came on board for the shoot… I love her rich, warm editing style that adds magic to all of her photos.
Kate from Wren Ark provided the beautiful tableware which included gold lace glass charger plates, modern dining and side plates, gold cutlery, gold rimmed glassware, and some blush pink glass goblets. I love the idea that you can loan pieces for an intimate celebration, and not just a big wedding. It means you can add style and character to your table without having to personally spend and buy interesting pieces.
The beautiful meadow inspired flowers were created by Kerrie from Rose and Carter. I love Kerrie’s passion for seasonal blooms and all of her designs were foam free (what we like to hear!). The table and magnificent floral floor arrangement were a mixture of roses, tulips, lemon stocks, lisianthks, hydrangeas, ranunculus, gomphrena and cosmos in shades of pink, oranges and pale yellows…STUNNING against the deep teal velvet tablecloths from Next and hand painted candles. Before you ask, I painstakingly painted the candles myself… it took ages! (however there are a few candle artists that you can find via Instagram or Etsy if you like this personalised look).
Natasha from Nevie Pie provided the hand-painted 3d floral cake… I can’t even begin to say how pretty this cake was in real life- a real show stopper that looked PERFECT sitting within the meadow theme.
The floral and botanical themed place cards, drinks and wedding breakfast menus were created by Louise Richardson Stationery… each design was truly bespoke and carefully crafted from her Hertfordshire studio.
Lastly, huge thank you to The Barns at Redcoats for letting us use their space and for the canapés and farm-to-fork dishes… the menu included Priors Hall Farm pork chop, red wine braised blade of beef, pan-roasted wild sea bass, grilled Cornish mackerel and roasted lamb, all served with lavender sour and Paloma cocktails. Tasty, delicious and oh so visually pleasing.
