It’s nearly the weekend…
Today we have two delicious cocktails to ease you into Autumn courtesy of the team behind the five beautiful country house venues, Canvas and Stone. Both are so delicious you’ll want to revive the redundant shaker from the cupboard and practice like a champ. Better still? Head to one of the five houses and ask for a demo.
FRENCH 75…
A classic cocktail made out of things you might have in healthy supply. Combine the two, and you’ve got a great tasting drink – with the added bonus of bubbles!
Ingredients
- 2 ounces London dry gin
- ¾ ounce fresh lemon juice
- ¾ ounce simple syrup
- 2 ounces Champagne
- Long spiral lemon twist (for serving)
To Make…
Combine gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.
Strain cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or a slotted spoon into a large flute. Top with Champagne; garnish with lemon twist.
